What is the relationship between '%VE Table #1 Offset (Port Open)'and '% Vol. Efficiency #1 Vs. RPM Vs. Other items to follow. I will consolidate the answers into a primer and its circulation will be to those who are in this list, others that can help will be added if they can help put togeather a working tuning document. I have some other tips that I will add to as I get time. Thanks in advance. Tyler Townsley мЅe#Р ,l,l ЊY(ь˜Tю YTimes New Roman Symbol ArialTimes New RomanCourier NewIn the past tuning the stock LT5 ecm was restricted to a few tuners. There were many reasons but probably the biggest was knowledge and software. With the advent of various bigger inch motors and cam/port combinations there is a real need for some kind of 'primer' to help us mere motal types. It appears that most of us have settled on TunerCat either the RT version or regular version. So is it possible that some of you can help us struggling types get at least a basic idea of what the changes do and how to use them? I have no desire to start tuning for money, I just want to get mine close. I know some of you in the list are 'competitors' but I would hope we could get at least a basic primer without reveling any specific secrets. I have looked at some of the bins done by LPE, Jim Smith and others with extensive knowledge of the chip and they employ various steps to conceil just what they have done in the chips, I wish I was that good but its confined to a few who depend on what they do for a living. As the ZR1 gets older its going to be us who have a soft spot for the LT 5 that could use help in understanding what to change to deal with the power adder changes that can be done to programming. Attached is a summary of those things that can be changed in TC. Using this as a starting place I would pose a series of questions about their use. Useing a 90 second release bin 1.
