EX5014 on display at the NCM

The unit you see on the tire is essentially a laptop computer developed by GM to test calibrations in a driving situation. The unit on the floor is and ECM that could hold up to 4 different driving calibration choices and you could switch between them with dip switches. The unit on the tire reads out information being used by the ECM to make changes or to report the changed number. I believe they made 2 of these units, the one you see here was used by Lotus and came from the calibration engineer involved in the project.
